STORY NR 1:
'Why the Abraham's house doesn't stay paralelly to the road?'

For all Gdynians this detail is so obvious, that they can't imagine it would be other way. Hardly none of them has tried to guess the reason of the house strange situation. The reason is very simple and very interesting too. In fact the cottage stays really parallely to the road, but to the old road, which crossed our city in 1902. It was a winding, country track then, and nobody wanted to make it straight, because there was no reason for it. When Gdynia became the City (1926) people straightened buildings, but they didn'd move the old houses, which were still winding - most of them people left into the new houses, but not the Abraham's one. The house has stayed on its original place and now it shows us, how the main road in Gdynia village about hundred years ago was situated.
